Lovingly hand-painted on high quality watercolor paper, this original piece is the perfect one-of-a-kind gift for the entomologist/space-enthusiast/just about anyone else in your life (or yourself! You’ve been good, right?). The piece was created using watercolor, salt, gold ink, acrylics, watercolor pencil, blue mechanical pencil… It features a translucent grasshopper flying through a richly-colored night sky. The paper measures 8″x8″ (20.32cm x 20.32cm) and is signed and dated (2016) on the back. There’s plenty of space (ha!) around the Grasshopper to allow the owner to crop/mat/frame as desired.
This piece was created as a part of my Fine Art Friday project, in which I’ve been taking some time to sketch/paint on Fridays as a break from my usual crochet work.
